Wasim hails Bangladesh’s decision to tour Pakistan

Legendary Fast bowler and former Captain of Pakistan Wasim Akram hailed Bangladesh decision to tour Pakistan and he said that it was very important step for the reviving of International Cricket in the country. On Monday Bangladesh Cricket Board has agreed to tour Pakistan to revive International Cricket in Pakistan, which has been suspended after militant attacks on the Srilankan team bus in Lahore in March 2009. Spokesman of Bangladesh Cricket Board Jalal Yunus to to AFP in Dhata that Pakistan had requested a one-day international and a Twenty20 match and it will be played in Lahore on the start of January. “It’s a welcome decision and I hope that the tour takes place as agreed because Pakistan badly needs international cricket and one series will convince other countries to tour,” AFP quoated as saying. o Wasim Akram said that there is a time that Pakistan needs international cricket  and he also said that the peoples of Pakistan are very peacefull and they love Cricket...

England win historic series against India

England win a series by 2-1 against India after the fourth and final drawn test in Nagpur on Monday. England got victory in India after 28 years. The last time England crushed India in 1984-85, under the captaincy of David Gower. Jonathan Trott made unbeaten 143 runs and he was dismissed by Ashwin today. After loosing first test in Ahmadabad England made come back in the 2nd test in Mumbai and also win the 3rd test in Kolkata. James Anderson was nominated for  man of the match while the English Captain and opening batsman Alastair Cook’s was nominated for man of the Series. Indian captain MS Dhoni said that England deserved victory and he was very disappointed from Indian bowlers and he said that our bowlers did not do the work. This is also the first time in last 8 years that India have lost a Test series at their home ground. Last time In 2004-5 Australia beat India 2-1 and win their Test Series against India in their home ground.

Haris Sohail twists ancle but Injury is not serious

Pakistan young batsman Haris Sohail has twisted his left ankle training camp of Pakistan Cricket team in Lahore, just before of the tour of India but injury is not serious and expected that he will be back in action against India. Remember that Haris Sohail was selected for the Pakistan One Day International squad and he is yet to make debut in International Cricket. After an MRI scan it was reported that the injury of Pakistan younger batsman Haris Sohail was not serious. Haris Sohail will be available for ODI series against India because the doctors given advised six days rest. ODI series between Pakistan and India starts from December 30 in Chennai after two Twenty20 games. In June this year Pakistan young batsman Haris Sohail had been selected in Pakistan Twenty20 squad for Srilanka but he did not make his place in the playing XI. Pakistan Pacers can upset Indian batting line-up: Hafeez, Misbah

Pakistan's ODI captain Misbah ul Haq and Twenty20 captain Mohammad Hafeez believe that the selected fast bowlers can rattle Indian batsman's. Pakistan Twenty20 captain Muhammad Hafeez said that he believe that the fast bowlers of Pakistan Cricket team have the ability to decline Indian batting line up at their home ground. He also said that left-arm fast bowler Mohammad Irfan will be surprise package in the Twenty20 series against India. On the other side Pakistan ODI captain Misbah ul Haq also said that there was a great opportunity for newly selected fast bowlers to establish themselves in the team and  series against India was always imoportant and closely followed by everyone. Both captains are much confident on their pace bowlers and very hopefull about their performance in upcomming series against India, starts from December 25. Misbah says good performance in T20s will earn Afridi place back in Pak ODI squad

Pakistan Captain Misbah-ul-Haq said that Shahid Afridi can retain his place in the ODI squad if he performs well in the Two Twenty20 internationals against India. He has given some hope to Shahid Afridi, who already out from ODI Squad for India tour. Pakistan former players also criticized that this move is not valid at this time. PCB chief selector Iqbal Qasim also said that Shahid Afridi could earn his place in ODI after performing well in Twenty20 Internationals.  He also said that Shahid Afridi is most experienced player and that was very tough decision for us to dropped Afridi.

  Pakistan former captain and star all-rounder Shahid Afridi has been dropped from the ODI squad for the tour of India in the end of this month but Shahid Afridi selected for Twenty20 internationals. Chief Selector Iqbal Qasim announced the squad in a press conference at Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) headquarters at Gaddafi stadium Lahore. PCB also included three new players who have shown impressive performance in recent domestic tournaments. These include leg-spinner Zulfiqar Babar, batsman Haris Sohail and fast bowler Asad Ali because of their great performace in President’s Trophy and Faisal Bank Twenty20. The 35 year old former captain Younis Khan has been selected for one-day International squad after having been dropped from team for the series against Australia. Abdul Razzaq was dropped from both ODI and Twenty20 games. Asad Shafiq was also dropped from both squads because of injury.
